My family has been owned by Griffons for over 40 years, yes I did mean owned as you will find once you have a Griffon in your home, they seem to take over.

Showing and breeding for me started in 1990 when we bought a dog from the Dreda kennels. The Breeder asked if I’d ever thought of showing, so I entered a show to see what it was all about, became hooked, and the rest as they say is history.

The Checar Kennel is small and the Griffons are pets first, show dogs second. I aim to breed strong, healthy puppies, but numerically it is a small breed with small litters. Many people have to wait a while to find the griffon they want. If you are lucky enough to find one you will not be sorry, they are intelligent, friendly and outgoing little characters that will steal your heart.
